Eric Swanson

My name is Eric Swanson and I am looking forward to a great first year as the principal of Parsons High School.  My family is moving from Russell High School where I was a math teacher, head boys basketball coach, and assistant baseball coach.  We enjoyed our time in Russell, but are looking forward to new and exciting opportunities for all of us in Parsons.

Prior to teaching in Russell, I spent nine years as a high school principal.  Six of those years were at Riley County High School and three in Scott City.  I have also taught at Southeast of Saline, Lebo, and Hill City.

My wife Teri and I have been married 24 years and have four sons.  Jordan is my oldest and lives in Lenexa, Cooper just graduated and will attend Barton County this fall.  Paxton will be a freshman at PHS and will play basketball and baseball.  Finally, Carter will be a seventh grader and enjoys basketball and baseball as well.

Please feel free to drop by the school to say "hi" and to introduce yourself.  I look forward to meeting everyone and getting the school year off to a great start.  I hear wonderful things about Parsons and can't wait to get started!
